 Retreat dates for Sea Islands 2023 is scheduled for October 26-October 31, 2023

1. Is transportation provided? You are responsible for your own airfare, and transportation to the Retreat Home.  We may have a designated transportation company that you may utilize to bring you to the Retreat home.  Check back for updates.


 

2. Is this Retreat Religious? This is not a Religious Retreat; however, it is a Spiritual Retreat. Women of all faiths will be in attendance and are welcome to attend.​


 

3. Will alcohol be served? Alcohol will not be served during the Retreat.​ This is a dry event, and no intoxicants are allowed at the Retreat facility.


 

4. Will there be Vegetarian options for meals? yes, we will serve Vegetarian meals, and fish and poultry will also be served. No other meat options are available and should not be brought into the Retreat home. Meals are designed to fulfill the health and body aspect of the Retreat, please do not bring snacks in the home with high sugar content, this includes sugary drinks like sodas, etc.​ Please do not bring any meat products into the home that are other than what is mentioned above.


 

5. Will there be free time? Yes, all events are optional, however, to get the most from the retreat it is recommended that you attend the scheduled events. There will be free time built into the schedule.​


 

6. If I am unable to attend can I get a refund? The retreat investment is non-refundable after the prescribed time period in your registration. The deposit is non-refundable. However, registration is transferrable, pending our approval of the person that you wish to transfer your registration to. Our registration policy is still in effect and we have the right to approve or not approve any potential participant to the Retreat.

 

7. What does my investment include? The Investment includes lodging, Chef Services, one in-home spa service, cultural tours and transportation to scheduled tours, self-care and life enhancing workshops. You will also have group led meditations and yoga sessions for those who wish to participate. Our accomodations are beach front and beach view properties so you will be steps away from the beach. There is also a swimming pool at all retreat homes. You will have free time to explore your surroundings, bike ride, or whatever you choose to help you reconnect with the divine within.


 

8. How are rooms assigned: Rooms are assigned on a first come first serve basis, room selections are based on the order in which deposits are made.​


 

9. How much does it cost? Cost varies based on the room selection. For instance, shared rooms may cost less per person depending on the accomodation. Twin rooms are less per person than larger accomodations. The prices may vary depending on the location of the room. Cost ranges $1500 to $2900 per person depending on the accommodations selected.​


 

10. When is payment due? Deposits are due upon registration. You may pay in full to avoid any payment plan processing fees. If you wish to enter a payment plan monthly payments are due by the 5th of each month, and it must be paid in full 60 days prior to the Retreat. ​When you make your deposit and select your payment plan type, make sure to divide the number of months by your balance to determine your monthly payment amount.


 

11. Will I have to share a bed or bathroom? You will only share a bed if you choose to bring a roommate for a single bedroom, and an extra charge will be required for the room to cover all other Retreat activities. It may save you money per person, but the price will increase for double occupancy. Most rooms have an attached bathroom. Some accomodations have Jack n Jill bathrooms and are share by two rooms.  One of our accomodations has a bathroom shared by 3 rooms.  Be sure to read room descriptions prior to registering.  There are also public powder rooms in all of the homes.


 

12. My finances will not cover the retreat cost, are there other options?   Each year we offer an opportunity for one or more women to attend the retreat via the generous donations of our supporters.  We offer a full scholarship for someone who does not have the financial ability to otherwise attend.  To apply, send an email to scholarship@thenthesunrose.com.  You must complete the application process to be considered.  The scholarship does not include transportation cost, but all other services are included.  You will select the scholarship room when you are awarded the scholarship an register.  Scholarship winners will stay in shared occupancy rooms.  The deadline to submit applications to be considered is April 5, 2023.



13. Am I required to get travel insurance?  We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance.  In fact, we think it's a great idea. Make sure to get a policy that allows you to cancel the trip for any reason.  Those may be a little pricier, but we think it's worth it.  We do not endorse any travel insurance companies at this time, but if that changes it will be noted here.


14. May I drive or rent a car?  Yes, however there is a limit to the number of cars allowed onsite.  Parking spaces are allowed based on the number of bedrooms in the home. If you plan to drive or rent a car you must confirm with the Host that there is space for your car. 


15. Will you provide transportation for things outside of scheduled events?  We do not provide transportation for anything outside of scheduled events.  There are times that we may have to run errands and may allow attendees to tag along. However, there really isn't much you will need outside of the retreat house.  We recommend that you bring specialty items with you. Many attendees do utilize Uber when they want to go to other places.


16. Will meals be provided every day?  Meals will begin on October 27th and end with a continental breakfast on October 31st.  We may provide some snacks on other days, but please come prepared to order food on October 26th or bring food with you.  Food must comply with the food restrictions of the retreat.


17. What if I decided to leave the Retreat Early will I get a refund?  There are no refunds for any reason once the Retreat has started, or after the dates listed in the registration, as stated above please invest in travel insurance.


18. Are there any Covid Protocols in place?  Yes, all attendees must show a negative Covid Test.  We also have other bio-safety protocols in place in the Retreat Homes.  You will receive the list of protocols prior to attending the retreat.
